Appearance – Light, fast absorbing, non greasy formulation. Deep orange tint (from the presence of Q10)

Q10 (Ubiquinone) is an biological agent that is produced naturally by our skin and is found in every cell. It is involved a number of biological functions including helping to produce energy, neutralising free radicals, and keeping cells both inside the body and in the skin healthy.

In most people over thirty, the amount of CoQ10 in the skin is below optimum, resulting in lesser ability to produce collagen, elastin and other important skin molecules. Besides, ubiquinone depleted skin may be more prone to the damage by free radicals, which are particularly abundant in the skin since it is exposed to the elements. Thus, CoQ10 may boost skin repair and regeneration and reduce free radical damage.

Our moisturising cream contains 1% Q10. The skin has the ability to harness the topically applied Q10 and use it to supplement it’s own, naturally produced Q10 to provide a significant boost to vital biological cell functions. The increased amount available to the skin will boost the regenerative abilities of skin cells allowing them to grow and divide more efficiently leading to firmer, smoother, and younger looking, complexion.

D-Ribose – D-ribose has proven clinical benefits. A topical D-ribose-based (0.5%) facial lotion was tested in adult women with decreased skin tone and wrinkles. Twenty adult females were evaluated both objectively and subjectively at 14 and 28 days while daily applying this D-ribose-based cosmetic lotion. After 14 days, there was a significant reduction (12.2%) in total wrinkle surface area and a demonstrable (9.1%) reduction in total wrinkle length. Further cosmetic benefits were observed at 28 days though the reduction in total wrinkle surface area of 12.2% remained the same with a further reduction in average wrinkle length to 17.6%. Subjectively, 67% of the adults perceived their skin to be more radiant and glowing with 71% noticing less skin dullness

One of the biggest contributing factors to premature ageing of the skin is the action of free radicals. Free radicals are generated in the skin as a response to inflammation and so exposure to sunlight is one of the most significant generators of free radicals. Vitamin E is a potent anti-oxidant which, when applied to the skin can eliminate free radicals before they can damage the skin cells. Use of effective anti-oxidants in your skin care routine will protect the skin from damage and inhibit premature ageing of the skin
