Micellar Oil – Make-up Remover and Cleanser
Update: Our micellar oil is now slightly gelled in order to make application easier.
Using oil to cleanse the skin is becoming more popular and this traditional cleansing method has enjoyed something of a resurgence over the last couple of years. However many people are put off the notion of using oil to cleanse the skin because they feel that the skin will be left greasy. And for those who have an oily complexion, the idea of putting more oil onto the skin is a definite no-no.
Micellar oils offer a completely new approach to cleaning the skin. So new in fact that there are just a handful of products in the market.
Micellar oils are incredibly gentle but remarkably effective. They will effortlessly remove all kinds of make-up including waterproof mascaras and lipsticks. They will quickly dissolve and remove both oil based and water based dirt from the skin without the use of harsh surfactants which can leave your skin feeling dry and tight.
SR-skincare Micellar Oil is perfect for all skin types and should be the first choice for those with extremely sensitive skin who struggle to find a cleanser that their skin will tolerate. Micellar oils are so gentle that they are perfect for those with Eczema, Rosacea, Dermatitis, Psoriasis etc.
Micellar Oil is a 3 in 1 cleanser.
Step 1 – apply the oil to dry skin and massage in. This first step will dissolve make-up and oil soluble particles
Step 2 – wet the hands and massage the skin once again. Introducing a small amount of water magically converts the oil into a cream cleanser which traps the oil based make-up and oil soluble particles in suspension. The cream at this point also dissolves and traps water soluble dirt and debris.
Step 3. Rinse the skin with warm water at which point the cream instantly converts into a cleansing milk which runs off the skin easily carrying all the dissolved particles away.
The skin is left amazingly clean but feels soft to the touch. Because of the unusual chemistry of the Micellar oil no oily residue is left on the skin.
